Now, Import & Export Volume is being increased day by day to ease this process IEC Import and Export license issued by the Government of India Now, in current situation IEC code, if you have all documents available ready, you will get your Import Export License the same day.
Following are the benefit of the IEC Code.
Need at Custom Port, at the time of Import Export: While shipment is being clearance IEC is required at the customs port.
Required by Banks: After shipment is done and when receiving foreign currency bank required IEC with other relevant documents related to shipments then issue a bank realization certificate.
No need for Annual Renewal: In the IEC code, there is no Annual renewal of Import Export Code registration; but if any changes in company record related to address, proprietor/director-related changes need to incorporate the same.
No Annual Compliances: There is no Annual return filing of the IEC code.
The applicant has to fill an online application at the DGFT website for obtaining the IEC along with required documents and fees.
Following documents are required for IEC.
1. Copy of Pan Card of Entity In case of company or LLP.
2. Copy of PAN Card of individual/director/Partner.
3. Copy of Aadhar Card of individual/director/Partner.
4. Copy of Bank statement/ or cancel the cheque.
5. Copy of Rent agreement/ Electricity bill.

The persons are doing the activity for import and export, they have to register in IEC.
Normally, It takes 2-3 working days from the submission of application with all documents to get a valid IEC code from authority.
The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT) is under the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India is the only authority to issue an e-IEC in electronic form.
Following documents are required for IEC.

An IEC allotted to an applicant shall have permanent validity
Yes, a PAN card is a compulsory requirement for the registration IEC code. PAN card of the individual (for proprietorship) and PAN card of the firm is required.
Authority will issue only One IEC against a single PAN (i.e. One PAN = One IEC).
